Abstract:

TradePort Namibia (Pty) Ltd (herein referred to as the proponent) intends to obtain land use rights for a noxious industry development on their 10 hectares property currently known as the Green Valley Farm No. 22 in Walvis Bay. In the longer term the intention is to develop the property into a mixed-use development light industrial / noxious industrial complex that could, in the future, comprise of business (warehouse / mineral or fuels storage facilities etc. The proposed development requires rezoning from "undetermined" to "noxious industry" in terms of the Urban and Regional Planning Act. This rezoning shall be submitted to the Municipal Council of Walvis Bay (Town Planning Section) for a decision, before being submitted to the Urban and Regional Planning Board for a final decision/approval.
