The renewal is for the Environmental Clearance Certificate previously issued for the establishment of a township, which covers the following listed activities under the Environmental Management Act (No. 7 of 2007) and its Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (2012): Section 10.2 - Construction of public roads and road alignment Section 10.1(b) - Route determination and road design for infrastructure Section 8.4 - Construction of canals and channels for water supply or drainage Section 8.8 - Construction in watercourses or within flood lines Section 10.1(a) - Construction of bulk supply pipelines (oil, gas, water) Section 10.1(f) - Construction of electrical cables and infrastructure These activities form part of the bulk service provision and infrastructure development associated with the approved township establishment.
