Significant developments recently have seen Engen and Vivo Energy combine to create a Pan-African Champion in the hydrocarbon industry. To this end Vivo Energy, a subsidiary of Vitol, has successfully completed the purchase of PETRONA' 74% shareholding in Engen Limited. These developments have resulted in VIVO Energy Divesting or Selling some of the sites that were previously Engen branded while others remain with the new entity to be converted to the VIVO branding. Other site owners have opted not to proceed with the Engen branding, but to rather engage the other optional fuel suppliers. One such site is Academia Service Station. Academia Service Station has decided to enter into a supplier agreement with Puma Energy, and has adopted the Puma branding. Academia Service Station has thus appointed Environam Consultants Trading (ECT) to apply for the renewal of the ECC as well as the transfer of the ECC from Engen Namibia on its behalf.
