Abstract:

Renewal of validity period for the: Environmental Clearance for the construction and operation of a new sewerage pump station and rising main in Kuisebmond, Walvis Bay, Erongo Region. The Environmental Clearance Certificate issued expired on 04 August 2024. The construction of the new sewerage pump station and rising main in Kuisebmond could not be done within the validity period of the environmental clearance certificate, as the bid for construction was cancelled on two occasions. Procurement Bid No. W/ONB/WBM-79/2022 - Construction of a new sewer station and rising main in Kuisebmond was cancelled before award as per the attached notice for cancellation of bid in Annexure B. Procurement Bid No. W/ONB/MWB-56/2023 - Construction of a new sewer pump station in Kuisebmond, was terminated as per the attached memorandum for Termination of Contact in Annexure C. To expedite the process, a new bid for the construction will go on restrictive biding; hence the application to renew the environmental clearance certificate.
