Rockstar Explore Mining CC (Reg. No: CC/2020/01972), hereafter referred to as the proponent obtained and Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC No. 2300564) on 29 June 2023. The ECC was in respect to establishing and operating a Small-Medium Scale Quarry / Mine for Dimension Stone on Mining License 244, and although they had indicated potential storage and use of diesel fuel on-site. An appropriate storage facility was not installed during the initial construction activities, Hence, Rockstar Explore Mining (the proponent) wishes to amend the Current ECC to include the installation and operation of a 23 000 litres above-ground diesel Storage Facility. The diesel fuel (50 ppm) to be stored in the proposed facility shall be used to meet Rockstar Explore Mining's domestic fuel needs which entails the fueling of the heavy earth-moving equipment and power generator.
