The town of Lüderitz is currently served with three cemeteries; one has already reached its maximum capacity while the remaining two are also about to reach maximum capacities, hence, the need for a new cemetery ground. The Lüderitz Town Council t is planning the establishment of a new cemetery to serve the town for the next fifty years. Three alternative sites were identified within the Lüderitz Townlands for the possible establishment of a new cemetery.
