The rezoning of land zoned residential to business is a listed activity; therefore, it is necessary to apply for Environmental Clearance for the rezoning of Erven 14, 15, 16, and 17 from Residential to General Business, as there is a need to establish a retail business with possible flats on the consolidated site.

The ECC is for the rezoning of Erf 1423 from Single Residential to General Business. The proposed "General Business" zoning will permit a wide range of office and business land uses as primary right.
