The ECC is for the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the operation and maintenance of an existing 66kV transmission Line from Omatako T-Off Substation to Omatako Base Substation including Omatako T-Off, Hochfeld, Omatako Booster, Ombotozu and Omatako Substations. The 66kv transmission line from Omatako T-Off substation to Omatako Base was constructed in 1984 prior to the commencement of the Environmental Management Act and its regulation, as a result there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development.
The Environmental Clearance Certificate is for the operation and maintenance of the existing 350kv Gerus - Zambezi Transmission Line Associated Infrastructures. In 2020 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the operation and maintenance of the 350kV Gerus - Zambezi High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission line. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for 350kV Gerus - Zambezi line and associated infrastructure in order to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
The Environmental Clearance certificate is for the construction and operation of the second (II) 400kV transmission line from Korkerboom substation near Keetmanshoop to Auas substation near Windhoek. Note: The updated EMP file is unfortunately corrupted. MET has been informed.

In 2020 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the Operation of Ruacana Power station. The ECC will expire on 24 August 2023.

The Environmental Clearance certificate is for the operation and maintenance of the existing Finke-Bismark 66kV transmission line, Van-Eck- Finke 66kV transmission line, Finke Substation , Bismark Substation and Finke-Hoffnung 33kV powerline.
In 2019, NamPower obtained an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Vegetation Management for the 132 kV Otjikoto - Rundu Transmission line servitudes in Otjikoto and Kavango East Regions. However, the other operational and maintenance activities and the proposed 220kV transmission line were not included in the previous ECC which was issued.
The environmental clearance certificate is for the operation of Omburu substation and construction and operation of the Battery Energy Storage System and associated infrastructure.

The ECC is for the renewal for the operation and maintenance of the 132kV Hippo - Omatando transmission line and Hippo Substation. In 2019, NamPower obtained an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Vegetation Management, Ruacana - Omatando along the 132 kV Transmission line. However, Hippo substation and the other operational and maintenance activities were not included in the previous ECC. Furthermore, the name of the line also changed from Ruacana – Omatando to Hippo – Omatando.
