The proponent, Earth Dimensions Consulting cc, was provisionally granted an exclusive prospecting licence (EPL) by the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The licence holder intends to explore for Base and Rare Metals. Impala Environmental Consulting was appointed by the proponent to undertake an Environmental Assessment (EA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the mineral exploration project.
To commence with mineral exploration activities on the licence.
To commence with the exploration and prospecting activities of the targeted commodities of EPL 8489 for Base and Rare Metals, Industrial Minerals and Precious Metals within the Hardap Region. The Proponent intends to conduct mineral exploration activities within the EPL leading to the estimation and delineation of the target resources. Proposed exploration activities include soil sampling, geophysical surveys, grab sampling, geological mapping, and drilling. The exploration licence is still under application stage, pending the issuance of an environmental clearance certificate.
