The facility has been operational since 2018; however, in pursuit of good environmental practice and in compliance with Namibian Environmental Legislation, Black Magic Briquettes intends to seek an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) and conduct its operations in accordance with an approved Environmental Management Plan.

GAC Investment cc intends on obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for their proposed offshore bunkering operations on Namibian marine waters using a bunker supply vessel equipped for Ship-to-Ship (STS) fuel transfers. The operation will include importing VLSFO and MGO into Namibian ocean waters and performing refueling activities for international commercial & local vessels at anchorage. The fuel will be pumped from the bunker tanker to the client vessels using approved transfer hoses, fenders, and spill response equipment, complying with IMO and MARPOL standards.

Namibia Bulk Infrastructure and Grid Solutions, intends on having an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in place, prior to the commencement of the construction and upgrading of Winnie Mandela Road, located in Windhoek, Namibia. However, the operational activities of the factory could not be carried out, due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019, which affected business activities on a global scale for a number of years.

The project aims to produce fruits and vegetables in the early stages and expand to various other crops, pending suitability investigations. The water for the irrigation project is proposed to be abstracted from the Orange River (located ±1 km east of the project site) to the irrigation site via underground pipeline and with the use booster pumps near the river.

Galore Trading cc (Galore) intends to apply for an ECC to conduct mineral exploration activities on their Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 8727, located approximately 30 km south of Otavi, Otjozondjupa Region. EPL 8727 is approximately 11 492 Hectares (ha) in size.

Blueberries Namibia (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Namibia Berries") intends to apply for an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the remainder (creation of streets), as part of the subdivision plan of the Farm Divundu Townlands no. 1362 into portions 8 to 15, with the future aim of developing irrigation activities on a 253.9 hectares (ha) piece of land. The proposed project is located in Divundu Village, Kavango East Region, Namibia.

Manica Group (Pty) Ltd intends to renew their ECC for the Storage, Handling and Transportation of Zinc, Nickel, Chrome, Coal, Cobalt and Urea in 5 Storage Facilities located in the Industrial area of Walvis Bay, Erongo Region. The ECC had a validity period from 14 April 2020 to 14 April 2023, hence this ECC Renewal Application.

Blue Berries Namibia (Pty) Ltd intends to apply for an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for their proposed irrigation activities, located on a piece of land measuring ±253.9 hectares (ha), along the south eastern banks of the Okavango River, in Divundu Settlement. The proposed project aims to produce blue berries (large-scale production) and avocado (small-scale production) over four (4) phases.

BIB Mineral Resources (BIB) has successfully obtained Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 4524, located approximately 5 km northwest of Uis Settlement, Erongo Region. EPL 4524 is approximately 24 751 Hectares (ha) in size. The land on which the EPL is located, belongs to the Daures Constituency and does not encompass any farm.

Mrs. Katrina Elifas intends on obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the Rezoning and Subdivision of Erf 1204 from Business to 8 single undeveloped erven and remainder, measuring a total of 2798 m².

Mr. Gerhard Boetie Ndala has successfully obtained Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 8520, located approximately 30 km south-east of Uis Settlement, within the Karibib, Omaruru Districts, Erongo Region. EPL 8520 is approximately 15297 Hectares (ha) in size. The land on which the EPL is falls part of the Tsiseb Conservancy, Erongo Region. Mr. Ndala proposes to undertake exploration activities on EPL 8520 for Dimension Stone, Base and Rare Metals, Industrial Minerals and Precious Metals.

The Ohangwena Regional Council intends on obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate for the Proposed Construction of a Waste Disposal Site. The project aims to find an alternative/solution to the current practice of unregulated and informal disposal of general waste in the settlement. The proposed project will therefore allow the Community to practice the recommended environmental practice of waste disposal and contributing and playing its role to environmental sustainability.

Mr. Frans Ernst Westraadt has applied to the Ministry of Mines and Energy for 10 Mining Claims, located west of Kamanjab in the Kunene Region. The proponent proposes to undertake small-scale mining for base and rare metals. The size of the Mining Claims range between 17.5 - 18 hectares (ha).

Dwyka Investment CC (Dwyka) has successfully obtained Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 7095, located east of Karibib in the Erongo Region. EPL 7095 is approximately 3811 Hectares (ha) in size. The exploration aims to focus on Crystalline white marbles of the Karibib Formation, which are dominantly occurring within EPL 7095 area. Other lithological units present are schists, ortho-amphibolite, quartzites, granite, ortho-gneiss and metasediments. All these lithological units are part of the Damara Sequence.

Enersense Energy Namibia (Pty) Ltd is submitting this application for an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC), to conduct a feasibility investigation and pilot study for their proposed long-term development of Africa’s first Green Hydrogen Village, that aims to operate on a semi-industrial scale.

Galore Trading cc (Galore) has successfully obtained Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 8735, located ±20 km northheast of Arandis, in the Erongo Region. EPL 8735 is 9003 Hectares (ha) in size. The land on which the EPL is located, falls part of the Arandis Constituency. Galore is planning exploration activities on the EPL. Preliminary activities such as geophysics, mapping, scouting exercises, soil sampling, as well as future drilling activities are planned for the area.

Namibia Non-Ferrous East China Mineral Exploration and Development (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Namibia Non-Ferrous) was successfully granted an Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL) 3365 in 2017, with a validity period until 2020, located near Rehoboth, in the Windhoek District, Hardap/Khomas Region. EPL 3365 is approximately 31,000 Hectares (ha) in size. Namibia Non-Ferrous previously conducted surface work and researches on potential areas in the field before drilling, such as geological survey (revision), geophysical survey and trenches n 2018/2019.

Zambezi Regional Council intends on obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate for their for upearthing the embankment of the Mpunkano Combined School Platform. The aim is to raise the platform of the school in order to increase the carrying capacity and prevent damage and disruptions of classrooms due to the flooding. Furthermore, the project is designed to up-earth the embankment of the school ground of Mpunkano Combined School to allow learners and their parents to relocate to such a higher ground during flood times as a permanent solution to the flooding problem.

Right-Path Investments (Pty) Ltd intends on obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for their proposed installation of an above-ground oil tank, on a currently disturbed piece of land measuring 150 square meters, located within their premises. Right-Path is currently dealing with a lot of delivery tasks for their brick-making operations. Their monthly consumption is high enough to consider having their own oil tank to save on the budget. However, in order for Right-Path to store oil on their premises, a permit is required from the Minister of Mines and Energy.

Roads Authority, intends on obtaining an extension to their Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the construction of DR3650: Epinga to Onakalunga and DR4113: Endola to Eembo, located in Ohangwena Region. As part of the requirements by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, RA is expected to submit an updated EMP to reflect the extension.

The Iipumbu Ya Tshilongo Conservancy intends on obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the construction of a dam with an increased water carrying capacity, that will be used as a source of drinking water for various animals, such as Kudu, Elephant, Springbok, Duiker, Oryx, Red Hartebeest, Ostrich, Eland, Spotted Hyena, Black Hyena, jackal, Guinea Fowl, Lion, Kori Bustard, Secretary Bird, Zebra, Giraffe, Kudu and livestock such as cattle, goats and sheep in the area.

The Swakopmund Municipality intends to develop the northern beach into a recreational (parks and recreational facilities) area for the purpose of improving the social, economic and environmental situation of the community and to enhance the quality of life for all Swakopmund residents and visitors. This can be achieved by providing a comprehensive program of recreational opportunities for all ages, ability levels, and provides safe, attractive, well maintained, well managed parks and recreation facilities.

Epangelo has been seeking to acquire a local partner (JG Investment Sixteen) in order to secure funding for their proposed exploration activities. The contracts and agreements with JG Investment Sixteen have therefore been finalized for EPL 4817; hence, the request for the ECC renewal, in order to immediately commence with their exploration programme. However, a different local partner has been acquired for the other two EPLs (4833 and 4818), therefore, a separate ECC Renewal Process has been undertaken for them.

The factory aims to burn recycled car batteries using foundry coke as a fuel for burning, to produce Lead blocks which would be exported. There has not been any major activities in terms of operations apart from a 3 day equipment test run.
