Green Gain Consultants 2021. APP-002264: Operation and management for the existing Omuthiya solid waste disposal site.

The Omuthiya solid waste disposal site has been in existence for many years, however, there has not been any ECC in place. Instead, the Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan (ISWMP) has been an overarching guideline plan for the Town Council in terms of Solid waste management in the town. In compliance with Environmental Management Act 7 of 2007, the Omuthiya Town Council intends to apply for the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the existing solid waste disposal site (Dumping site). Green Gain Consultants 2020. APP-001853: Sand mining activities within Omaruru townlands.

The Municipality has noted with concerns, an increased number of illegal sand mining activities within the Omaruru River and catchment areas. The increase in demand of building sand in the town has resulted in indiscriminate mining of sand from the main streams and catchment areas. The illegal sand mining is notably done by both small and large contractors who are awarded construction works and those operating brick making projects in town. It is believed that, most if not all, these sand mining operators do not have the required Environmental Clearance Certificate.

Green Gain Consultants 2020. APP-001852: Decommissioning of the existing dumpsite and Commissioning of a new Landfill site in Omaruru.

The existing Omaruru dumpsite does not meet the Solid Waste Management standards and MET landfill siting Guidelines, thus pose serious environmental risks. As such, the Municipality of Omaruru intends to decommission the existing dumpsite and commission a new landfill site. The decommissioning of the existing dumpsite and Commissioning of a new landfill site should be carried in terms of the Environmental Management Act (Act No.07 of 2007) and its Regulations of April 2012.

Green Gain Consultants 2020. APP-001494: Permanent closure of Portion A and B of Erf 3573, as "Public Open Spaces" and Rezone to General Residential in Extension 16, Ondangwa, Oshana Region.

TJ Properties cc here referred to as Developer, intends to apply for the subdivision of Erf 3573 into portions A, B and Remainder and Permanent closure of Portions A and B as Public Open Spaces. After closure, the portions will be rezoned to "General Residential" and will be utilized for the construction of accommodation facilities (Town Houses), consisting of about 15 Units. The total size of Erf 3573 is 10217m² while the proposed portion to be rezoned measures about 6050m² in size.

Okahao Town Council has appointed John Heita Urban and Regional Planners cc to apply to apply for the subdivision of Erf 1225 (5174sq) Okahao Extension 2, into Portion “A” (4191sq) and Remainder (9831sq) and permanent Closure of Portion A as a “Public Open Spaces” and Rezone to “Business” for the construction of business complex and shopping center.

Green Gain Consultants 2020. APP-001177: Township Establishment on Erf 253, Onethindi Extension 1, Oniipa, Oshikoto Region.

Pronego Properties cc is granted authority by the Oniipa Town Council to subdivide Erf 253, Onethindi Extension 1 and establish a new township of ± 120 erven on Portion A/253. Erf 253 is located eastern side along the Ondangwa-Omuthiya Main road. The site is already occupied by existing development consisting of residential and business properties. The intention is to establish a mixed used township development by formalizing the existing land uses and incorporating compatible new land uses. Approval has been granted by the Oniipa Town Council for the intended development.

Green Gain Consultants 2020. APP-001176: Establishment of four township extension (9, 11, 12 and 13) on portion 1-4 of the Remainder of the Farm Grootfontein Townlands No. 754.

Grootfontein Municipality has designated an area of approximately 170 hectares to be used for the establishment of four township extensions on portions (Portion 1 to 4) of the Remainder of the Farm Grootfontein Townlands No. 754 to be known as; Omulunga extensions 9, 11, 12, & 13. The initial Certificate was issued but does not bear the correct title (Extension 9,10,11 and 12), hence it should be amended to bear the correct title (Extension 9, 11, 12 and 13).
