Erf 688 in Extension 1 of Ndama in Rundu has been proposed for rezoning from being a public open space to business for the purpose of developing a shopping centre. Planet Rose Properties proposes to subdivide the erf into two parts, where Portion A (±4 800 m²) will be developed as a business area. The remainder of the erf, approximately 900 m², in size will remain Public Open Space (see proposed site layout in the Background Information Document (BID)). During construction phase, certain areas of the project site will be levelled in order to setup the site infrastructure.
PowerCom (Pty) Ltd (PowerCom hereafter) proposes to erect a telecommunication tower on Erf 1824, Matutura in Swakopmund which aim to strengthen the coverage for mobile services, inclusive of voice and data services within the subject area. Site Location: Network coverage predictions were used to determine the black holes in wireless and fixed-wireless services which drove the selection of the proposed site. This site will be used to improve coverage for mobile services, which include voice and data services. The proposed site location is detailed in the table below.

Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) applied for an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for the erection of 3 signal towers in Ocean View in Swakopmund in 2014. The Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed development was conducted by EnviroSolutions in 2014.
Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (MTC hereafter) under their 081everyone project aims to provide 100% network coverage across Namibia. GCS Water and Environmental Engineering (Pty) Ltd (GCS Namibia hereafter) was appointed in 2017 to undertake the Environmental Assessment process to obtain environmental clearance for the intended development. An application was submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) dated 25 August 2017 (Annexure A) requesting for exemption from certain sites which were deemed to be "not environmentally sensitive".
The scope of this project is limited to obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate for the following: • Additional Mining Claims 71547, 71548, 71549 and 71550, adjacent to the Existing Mining Operations on Mining Claims 65425 and 65426 The proposed project involves application for an ECC for mining claims 71547, 71548, 71549 and 71550. An ECC was granted to Okatji Marble Mine in 2017 for the existing mining activities taking place on mining claims 65425 and 65426.
Nangolo Trading Enterprise CC (The Proponent) proposes to undertake exploration drilling activities on Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) 6669 in the Kunene Region. Under the Environmental Management Act (2007) and its Regulations (2012), an Environmental Assessment (EA) is required for: 3.1 The construction of facilities for any process or activities which requires a licence, right or other form of authorisation, and the renewal of a licence, right or other form of authorisation, in terms of the Minerals (Prospecting and Mining Act), 1992.
Okatji Marble CC obtained their Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) dated 25 April 2017 for the Mining Claims 65425 and 65426 and existing mining operations. The ECC is valid for three years (until 2020) and as such Okatji Marble wishes to apply for the renewal of the ECC.
