The Development Workshop Namibia (DWN) is implementing the Project “Poverty-Oriented Development of Infrastructure in urban areas of Namibia” with financial support from KfW. Mr. Michael I. T. Petrus (herein referred to as the proponent), is a Namibian citizen with vested interest in mineral exploration and mining development. Mr. Petrus aims at prospecting and eventually developing mining ventures in respect to Base and Rare Metals and Semi-Precious Stones. Mr. Petrus seeks to undertake her mineral exploration and mining development on Mining Claims (MCs 75181 - 75188) South-west of Karibib in the Karibib Rural Constituency on / within Farm Utusis No. 75.

Deep Kalahari seeks to undertake her mineral exploration and mining development on Mining Claims (MCs 75181 - 75188) North-west of Otjikondavirongo Village in the Opuwo Rural Constituency within Otjikondavirongo Communal Conservancy.

ML Trading Enterprise T/A DanRe Sun (Pty) Ltd (herein referred to as the proponent), is a Namibian registered and owned solar energy company focused on green solutions for power generation. DanRe Sun is in the process of obtaining a license / approval from the Electricity Control Board of Namibia, to develop a 50 MW grid connected Photovoltaic Solar generating plant at Kalkrand in the Hardap Region. DanRe Sun (Pty) Ltd aims to develop the solar energy project using PV technology to generate electricity in Namibia.

"PEL 83" is a Joint Venture between the block partners, namely Windhoek PEL 28 B.V. (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Galp Energia E&P B.V (i.e. Galp)), the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) and Custos Investments. Mr. David Nekwaya seeks to operate their business activities within their proposed Mining Claim (MC No. 75298) at Karibib in the Erongo Region, in respect to Industrial Mineral (small-scale exploration and mining).

DanAon Energy (Pty) Ltd (herein referred to as the proponent), is a Namibian registered and owned solar energy company focused on green solutions for power generation. DanAon is in the process of obtaining a license / approval from the Electricity Control Board of Namibia, to develop a 40 MW grid connected Photovoltaic Solar generating plant at Maltahöhe in the Hardap Region. DanAon Energy (Pty) Ltd aims to develop the solar energy project using PV technology to generate electricity in Namibia.

In particular to this Scoping Assessment, Beauna Mining (Pty) Ltd envisages to build and operate a Hydrometallurgy Copper Plant near Sesfontein Settlement (about 6km to the east, Figure 1) to aid the process and advance to a point they are able to smelt their own products locally. Hence, the company has identified a land area of ~ 100 (Ha) hectares for which it wishes to obtain a leasehold and therefore the need for, in addition to other legislative requirements they seek to obtain an environmental clearance certificate for the proposed processing plant.

HyIron intends to develop the Oshivela Green Iron Pilot Project, on Section 4 of Farm Bloemenhof 109 . The proposed project entails the production of “green” iron, i.e. without any CO2 emissions, by using renewable energy only and applying HyIron’s proprietary technology. The proposed pilot production phase is planned in the north-western section of Section 4 of Farm Bloemenhof 109 and includes the following: Production of 5 tons raw iron per hour (~ 3 000 hours per year), using hydrogen as a reduction agent during the product beneficiation, in a specialised industrial (airtight) furnace.

Bohale Investment cc (herein referred to as the Proponent, ), a sister company of BC Stone Products (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd and Best Cheer Investments Namibia) intends to apply to renew its Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC obtained on 19 October 2020) for its proposed Dimension Stone mineral right on ML No. 190 totaling an area of 3986 Ha. While the operation continues, the ECC has expired and thus the proponent wishes to ensure that development activities is still undertaken in an economic, social and environmental sound / sustainable manner.

SLB proposes to establish and operate a Liquid Mud Plant (LMP) in the Port of Walvis Bay. The proposed LMP will be used to receive, handle, manufacture, mix, store and transfer a liquid drilling compound which is used by offshore oil riggs.

Lodestone is proposing the construction of a proposed new bulk water supply pipeline from the Oanob dam to the mine. A pipeline route has been decided following gravel roads, which is the shortest route that follows close to existing roads.

AMENDMENT APPLICATION: Kelp Blue, intends to cultivate Giant Kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) at a commercial scale, off the coast of southern Namibia, near Lüderitz. Prior to them implementing the "commercial scale" cultivation project, Kelp Blue first develop a Pilot Project to provide important information and proof of their concept as well as monitoring of marine ecological aspects associated with the Pilot Project activities.

Hence, Mr. Erich Dennis Petrus has thus applied to obtain a Mining Claims (MCs) license with a particular focus on key portions of the proposed Mining Claims. To enhance potential impact mitigation, the proponent has demarcated and marked a section of the Otjimbingwe Communal Reserve. The MC 73894 is situated in Western Namibia, within the Otjimbingwe Reserve and approximately 10 km North-west of the Otjimbingwe Settlement in the Erongo.

Renewal application for: Lodestone's development of an open-pit mine and processing plant at their "Dordabis Iron Ore Mining Project" on ML 182 to produce iron concentrate, including associated infrastructure and activities. The Project area is situated in the Khomas Region, approximately 20 km north-west of Dordabis and 75 km south east of Windhoek on the C23 tar road.

Mr. Romario M. Tjiveze (herein referred to as the proponent) is a registered Namibian company, with vested interest and business ventures in the mining sector. Their objective is to undertake exploration activities in order to obtain data on the presence of minerals for further mining development. Tjiveze seek to operate their mining claim activities on MC 71456 within the Erongo Region, in respect to Semi-Precious Stones and Industrial Mineral.
