Harmonic Town Planning Consultants 2025. 250508005785: The renewal and amendment for the proposed Township Establishment on Erf 3302, Kaisosi Extension 10, Rundu, Kavango East Region. Township to be known as Kaisosi Extension 14.

Following a review by the Ministry of Urban and Regional Planning Board, it was observed that the current Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for Kaisosi Extension 10 does not accurately reflect the nature of the submitted application. During the Board's deliberations, concerns were raised regarding whether the current ECC pertains specifically to the provision of municipal services for Extension 10 or whether it comprehensively covers the township establishment process as intended.

For the renewal and amendment of the ECC for the proposed Auasblick Ext.1 Township Development and realignment of Jason Hamutenya Ndadi Street, in Windhoek, Homas Region. The renewal is required as the current ECC for the township development of Auasblick Ext. 1 has expired on the 15th of August 2024. The amendment is required to realign and formalise the Jason Hamutenya Ndadi Street. The construction of the township is already completed. Unfortunately, a number of cadastral boundary changes are required to reflect the conditions on the ground.

The rezoning of land from: (a) residential use to industrial or commercial use: Erf 159 Block D Extension 1, Rehoboth is to be rezoned from Single Residential with a density of 1:600 to Business with a bulk of 1.0.

Chem Papers Investment 2021. APP-003190: Proposed development of marble mine/quarry on Mining Licence (ML218), Karibib, Erongo Region.

The proposed mining activities of dimension stone (marble) on Mining Licence (ML 218) falls under the activities that are listed in the Environmental Management Act, 2007 (Act No. 7 of 2007) and EIA Regulations (2012). These activities cannot be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). The proponent (Catseye Investments CC) intends to apply for a mining licence in order to execute mining activities. Mining will be executed by means of quarrying with a diamond wire saws and stone cutting machines for cutting off rectangular blocks.

Chem Papers Investment 2021. APP-002836: Proposed development of a marble and granite mine/quarry by Tipton Investments (Pty) Ltd.

The proponent, Tipton Investment (Pty) Ltd has acquired a mining license (ML236) on EPL 7728, with the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The proponent intends to mine (quarry) dimension stone (marble and granite) in the area. The Environmental Regulations procedure (GN 30 of 2012) stipulates that no mining and mining activities may be undertaken without an environmental clearance certificate. Therefore the proponent intends to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment study in order to acquire the ECC.
