Abstract:

Prime Ville Investments Pty Ltd has been given approval by the Ondangwa Town Council to carry out the subdivision of Ondangwa Townlands No.882 into Portion A and Remainder and for the establish a township development on Portion A. The township development will consist of 51 properties and remainder as streets. Municipal services will be installed at the proposed township developments. The site is already partial occupied by two residential properties, but a portion of the site is still vacant. It is highly disturbed due to many gravel roads passing through it and its proximity to the surrounding housing development. Municipal services such as roads, sewer connections, electricity, roads etc, will be installed at the proposed township developments. As such, certain listed activities will be triggered, thus an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) should be undertaken as required by the Environmental Management Act of 2007 (Schedule 5.1) and its regulations (GN No. 30 of 2012).
