Ecological principals in economic development
This paper attempts to highlight some of the principles of ecology and development which are essential if the goals of development are to be achieved. If not properly anticipated, ecological changes brought about by development can in turn, prove detrimental to the very development. Development should be planned so as not to downgrade the area, but rather enhance and improve it, as the downgrading of conservation values may result in the destruction of the advantages of such a development.
