Namibia floods : joint assessment report : 06-09 April 2011

To assess the impacts of the floods in northern Namibia [Oshana, Omusati, Oshikoto, Ohangwena regions) [...] also affected to a lesser extent, Caprivi, Kavango and Kunene regions] so as to get a better understanding of the needs and impacts as a platform for a targeted response. Seven teams, comprised of experts from the Government, the Red Cross and the United Nations and IOM, conducted a rapid assessment from 06-09 April 2011 in the affected regions. Apart from administering a 21 questionnaire, the teams also held meetings with the respective regional councils to get an understanding of the regional council's data collection and response efforts.
