The envisaged eventual development is underground lead mining. All animals, both vertebrate and invertebrate, as well as ecosystem level processes involving them, were to be included. The scope of work is: A desktop study of biodiversity literature pertaining to the area, supplemented by prior experience. Preparation of draft lists of expected taxa. Identification of potential taxa of concern. Enumeration of relevant legislation. Fieldwork in the area to provide context to and ground-truth desktop work. Determine habitat diversity and identify potential issues at the level of habitats, ecosystem services or ecological processes. Scoping report highlighting issues to be taken forward.
