Abstract:

Animals which, owing to their habits or Iife requirements come into competition with man and his lifestock, aptly named "problem animals", rate a high priority in the scheduled research projects undertaken by the Nature Conservation and Tourism Division of the South West Africa Administration. With the Hartmann zebra the problem arises that it is both an endangered species as well as a problem animal.
