Two Cape vultures have been given a second chance at life after recovering from lead poisoning and being released back into the wild in the Southern Drakensberg through a collaborative conservation effort. The birds, which spent three and four months in rehabilitation at FreeMe Wildlife, were released on July 30 at the Mzimkulu Vulture Hide in the Underberg by Wildlife ACT, FreeMe Wildlife and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.
