Hope Namibia Mineral Exploration (Pty) Ltd, hereinafter referred to as the proponent, has acquired mineral rights under the Exclusive Prospective Licence (EPL) 7170 since 23 October 2020, with the expiry date of 22 October 2023. The EPL is located about 140 km east of Walvis Bay, Erongo region, and covers approximately 13,996.2557 hectares within the Namib Naukluft National Par and is sandwiched by EPL 6605 also owned by Hope Namibia Mineral Exploration (Pty) Ltd and EPL 5796 and ML 246 owned by another Bezant Subsidiary Hope and Gorob Mining (Pty) Ltd.
ECC is for the Proposed Wlotzkasbaken Township Development, Erongo Region, Namibia.

The Proposed Prospecting and Exploration Activities on Two Exclusive Prospecting Licenses (EPLs) No. 8779 and 8780 located northwest of Sesfontein in the Kunene Region, Namibia.
Proposed exploration activities for base and rare metals, industrial minerals, precious metals and semi-precious stones on Mining Claims 73612-73616 in Kunene Region.
The proposed construction of 6 lodge units with a core area, gym and a solar plant, and an existing game fence along the boundary of farm Waldeck no. 28. (1.a) ENERGY GENERATION, TRANSMISSION AND STORAGE ACTIVITIES - The construction of facilities for the generation of electricity; (1.b) The construction of facilities for the transmission and supply of electricity; (2.1) WASTE MANAGEMENT, TREATMENT, HANDLING AND DISPOSAL ACTIVITIES - The construction of facilities for waste sites, treatment of waste and disposal of waste.
To explore the project area for base and rare metals, nuclear fuels, and industrial minerals through non-invasive and invasive methods to determine if viable mineral deposits exist. It is foreseen that the exploration will include field mapping, surveying, literature review (non-invasive), drilling (invasive), trenching (invasive), Sampling, Analysis, Geological Modelling and Resource Estimation (non-invasive) over a period of an initial period of 3 years. The invasive activities would comprise digging of trenches and drilling of surface boreholes spaced from each other.
Renwal application: Continuation of the small-scale mining of gypsum. The mining activities are currently being undertaken in the western part of ML 105 C. The overall size of the current area being mined is ± 18 ha. ML 105 A-D covers an area of approximately 978 hectares (ha). ML 105 A-D is located ± 50 km south-east of Swakopmund.
Installation and operation of a small-scale liquified petroleum gas (LPG) bottling plant at Ongenga Settlement, Ohangwena Region.
The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of an existing 66kV Rundu - Mahango Transmission line including Mahango substation and other associated infrastructures. In 2020 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the management and operation of the 66kV Rundu - Mahango transmission line. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for 66kV Rundu - Mahango line in order to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
