The applicant intends to mine industrial mineral (Barite) from the mining claim. It is foreseen that the mining activities will include trenching and excavating. The Environmental Regulations procedure (GN 30 of 2012) stipulates that no mineral exploration and mining activities may be undertaken without an environmental clearance certificate. The proposed prospecting activities are listed in the Environmental Management Act, 2007, (Act No. 7 of 2007) and the EIA Regulations 30 of 2012 and cannot be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC).
The road between Rundu and Divundu is being rehabilitated and material is required for this operation. The only suitable material to be found is an existing borrow pit close to Divundu. This application is for permission to extract material from the existing borrow pit and to crush it on site. This material will be used for the road rehabilitation.

Two suspected poachers were Wednesday arrested and six pieces of elephant tusks recovered in an operation in Maralal, Samburu Police and Kenya Wildlife Service personnel said the suspects were trying to sell the tusks when they were nabbed on December 6. The trophies were hidden in a sack when they were busted. Police and KWS officials said they are investigating the source of the tusks. It is suspected the tusks came from killed elephants through poaching in the nearby Samburu parks.

C38 is the tourist road which starts from the town of Outjo up to the bitumen-surfaced B1 highway just outside Omuthiya, passing through ENP connecting the oldest three resorts of Okaukuejo, Halali and Namutoni (Fig: 3). The rationale to only upgrade C38 is because this road is mostly used by park personnel and service providers and therefore carries a higher percentage of daily traffic in the park. All fuel and food consumed in the park resorts is transported on this route.

For Aggregate Quarrying.
The aim of this project is to buy back recyclable items from the community which can be resold by the company to bigger organizations based in Windhoek. We are a dry plant that will specialize in collecting tin, paper, plastic and glass from the community and surrounding area to keep the region clean. These products will be stored in a finely mashed cages to avoid disbursing of waste and once substantial amounts have been collected transport them to Windhoek for sales. By doing so we will be contributing to the sustainability of the region and country at large.

(An Application was submitted to MEFT: DEA and registered on the MEFT portal in July 2020. The MEFT Portal however experienced difficulties and this Application was lost. Lodestone is proposing the construction of a proposed new bulk water supply pipeline from the Oanob dam to the mine. A pipeline route has been decided following gravel roads, which is the shortest route that follows close to existing roads.

Namib Poultry Industries (Pty) Ltd is a proudly Namibian company, which started its operations in November 2011. The plant is situated on the Klein Okapuka Farm, about 30 kilometers outside of Windhoek proper. Operations consist of a breeding section made up of three rearing sites and six laying sites, a hatchery, seven broiler sites with five houses each and an abattoir, totaling more than 110 000m². They have six strategically placed depots across Namibia located in Windhoek, Katima Mulilo, Otavi, Ondangwa, Keetmanshoop and Walvis Bay, enabling them to meet customers' needs.

An environmental certificate, above referenced, was issued on the date 2020-06-05 to Grootfontein Municipality for the "Establishment of Four Township Extensions (9, 11, 12 and 13) on Portions 1 to 4 of the Remainder of the Farm Grootfontein Town and Townlands No. 754, Otjozondjupa Region". These portions were surveyed and approved by the Surveyor General as Portions 73, 81, 82 and 83. So far only one township, Omulunga Extension 9, has been established on Portion 73, Grootfontein Townlands No. 754.
ECC is for the operations of the Existing Wastewater Treatment Plant at the Shituwa Secondary School, Ohangwena Region.

The ECC is for the operation and maintenance of the 66kV Bismarck - Witvlei transmission line including Seeis and Otjivero substations and other associated infrastructures. In 2020, NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the management and operation of the 66kV Bismarck - Witvlei transmission line. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for 66kV Bismarck - Witvlei line in order to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
