Grootfontein Municipality has designated an area of approximately 170 hectares to be used for the establishment of four township extensions on portions (Portion 1 to 4) of the Remainder of the Farm Grootfontein Townlands No. 754 to be known as; Omulunga extensions 9, 11, 12, & 13. The initial Certificate was issued but does not bear the correct title (Extension 9,10,11 and 12), hence it should be amended to bear the correct title (Extension 9, 11, 12 and 13).

NamPower intends to construct and commission a wind resource measurement station on a 100 m high steel tower. The erection of the wind mast will require 1.4 ha to accommodate the guy wire anchors that hold the mast in position and for stability. The wind resource measurement station is required to enable development of a commercial wind farm.

An amendment of the Gondwana Etosha King Nehale Lodge Environmental Management Plan (ENP) to include a hide at the Kameeldoring Water Hole, Etosha National Park, Namibia. Environmental Compliance Consultancy (ECC) has been engaged by Gondwana Collection Namibia (Pty) Ltd the proponent to act on their behalf for the EMP amendment of the environmental clearance certificate application, which was granted and issued 24th April 2019, for the development of the Gondwana Etosha King Nehale Lodge in the Oshikoto Region, Namibia.

Swakop Uranium has contracted Manica Group Namibia (Pty) Ltd (Manica) to transport the reagents and chemicals from the port, where it will be off-loaded from the ships, to their existing Manica Logistics Centre (MLC) Warehouse and Rennies Container Terminal for temporary storage, before being transported to the Husab Mine Site. The MLC warehouse and Rennies Container Terminal are both located inside the industrial area in Walvis Bay. Southwest Mining Investment (Pty) Ltd (The Proponent) has been granted with Exclusive Prospecting Licenses (EPLs) No. 6031 and 6917 by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). The tenure of these licences is from 01 November 2016, as per agreement with the Ministry of Mines and Energy. Southwest Mining Investment (Pty) plans to conduct prospecting and exploration activities leading to the estimation and delineation of the target resource. Prospecting and exploration form part of the listed activities that may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC).

The ECC is for the construction and operation of power lines from Kudu Gas Power Station plant at Uubvlei to Oranjemund and Obib Substation in the Karas Region.
The renewal of the environmental clearance certificate for the second (60 m) telecommunication tower on the Husab Mine. The Husab Mine required a second radio and cell-phone tower in order to meet communication requirements for the mining department and therefore constructed a 60 m lattice tower near the mining activities. The second telecommunication tower was erected in June 2017, upon acquiring approval in February 2017. Swakop Uranium continues to use the tower for communication. No further activities associated with the tower are planned.
