The ECC is for the operation and management of the 66kV Hardap - Mariental transmission line. "The construction of facilities for the transmission and supply of electricity" requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate. However, the 66kV Hardap - Mariental line was constructed in 1981 prior to the commencement of the Environmental Management Act and its regulation, as a result there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development.

Yellow Dune Uranium Resources (Pty) Ltd is a subsidiary of Reptile Mineral Resources and Exploration (Pty) Ltd, who also acts as the managing company. Yellow Dune was the holder of EPL3498 (Aussinanis) for which we have a valid ECC issued on 7 March 2019. Aussinanis has been fully explored (3999 drillholes over 43 936m). No further potential for significant uranium resource expansion exists. Thus an application was submitted to MME and the EPL was converted to a Mineral Deposit Retention License (MDRL) in January 2020.

Renewal and amendment of the environmental clearance certificate for the upgrade of the existing railway line located between Walvis Bay and Kranzberg stations, in the Erongo Region, Namibia. Listed activities triggered by the project include: Listed activity EIA screening finding infrastructure 10.1The construction of- (c) Railways and harbours; The project involves upgrading the existing railway line to a standard of 18.5 tons axle load (tal), which will enable safe rail traffic at a maximum speed of 100 km/h for passengers and 80 km/h for freight. The proposed project is aimed at closing off the Erven as Public Open Spaces and rezoning them to Private Open Spaces. They are located in Swakopmund Proper and measure the following: 379 (1000m2), 402 (982.82m2), 403 (296.87m2), 404 (1376.43m2) and 410 (3991m2). They are in Windhuker Street. Some of the Erven didn’t have access to which is why we needed to redesign them. The Erven have been lying dormant for decades and Council wish to sell them off to individuals, hence the rezoning and closure. They are being rezoned to Private Open Space in order to keep their recreational function.
The ECC is required for the following proposed minerals exploration activities: (i) Initial desktop exploration activities (review of existing information and all previous activities in order identify any potential target/s in the EPL Area). (ii) Regional reconnaissance field-based activities such as reginal mapping, aerial survey and existing data analysis and sampling to identify and verify potential targeted areas based on the recommendations of the desktop work undertaken under (i) above.

The Municipality has noted with concerns, an increased number of illegal sand mining activities within the Omaruru River and catchment areas. The increase in demand of building sand in the town has resulted in indiscriminate mining of sand from the main streams and catchment areas. The illegal sand mining is notably done by both small and large contractors who are awarded construction works and those operating brick making projects in town. It is believed that, most if not all, these sand mining operators do not have the required Environmental Clearance Certificate.
The ECC is required for the proposed 66kV Marble Switching Station Extension, Powerline Route from Marble Station to the Mining License (ML) No. 204 for Lepidico Chemicals Namibia (Pty) Ltd, NamPower metering station and the Lepidico Rubicon Substation Developments. The proposed powerline route will run from the Marble switchyard to the west of Karibib.
ECC is for the continued stone mining at the old Aris quarry and sand mining in the Usip River. Stone and sand mining have been conducted here for more than 40 years.

Application for Environmental Clearance Certificate for Walvis Bay Waterfront, Walvis Bay, Erongo Region. An application was submitted (16th March 2018). Listed activities triggered by the project include: Waste management, treatment, handling and disposal activities - 2.3 The import, processing, use and recycling, temporary storage, transit or export of waste; Temporary storage of waste generated by operations of the proposed Waterfront.
The proponent intends to apply for the renewal of the environmental clearance certificate for mining of dimension stone (sodalite) on mining claims 70115 and 70116 at Otjimuhaka Village, Swartbooisdrift, Kunene Region, Namibia.
The Proponent plans to conduct prospecting and exploration activities leading to the estimation and delineation of the target resource. Prospecting and exploration form part of the listed activities that may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). Thus, EPL 6534, 6535 and 6536 are subjected to a Clearance Certificate to be issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) upon submission of an Environmental Assessment Report (EAR) and draft Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

Namland Consultants was requested by Coca- Cola Bottling Company Namibia to perform an environmental condition survey on the consumer fuel installation of Coca-Cola Namibia in Windhoek. The environmental assessment is conducted to determine all environmental, safety, health and socioeconomic impacts associated with the operations of the facility. Relevant environmental data has been compiled by making use of secondary data and from a reconnaissance site visit. Potential environmental impacts and associated social impacts were identified and are addressed in this report.
