This ML covers an area of ~ 40,500 ha and is located in the Tsau//Khaeb (Sperrgebiet) National Park, north-east of Oranjemund. The current life of mine (LOM) for ML43 ends in 2022. Namdeb has developed a potential new Long Term Business Plan (subject to Board Approval) to extend this LOM up to 2038, through implementing various changes (i.e. amendments) of the current / approved activities in ML43.

Transfer of ECC for Mining Claims 68664, 70113, 70114, 70119 to Mr Jacobus Petrus Smit The Mining Claims have been issued an ECC (No.01159) with Eleven (11) other claims under application number (APP 001834) held by Mr. Vehumisa Edward Kaendapeke. The mining Claims with numbers 68664, 70113, 70114, 70119 were sold to Mr Jacobus Petrus Smit The claims are located in Swartbooisdrift, Otjimuhaka village, 120 km northeast of Opuwo, Epupa Constituency, Kunene Region, Namibia. The activities focus on the specific resources of sodalite and possible associated mineralization.
Request on whether an ECC is required for the following project : Replace the existing seawater firewater supply pipeline from the seawater intake pump station (at Etosha) to the Oil Industry Terminals. The existing pipeline runs underground in a servitude from the Pump station to the Terminals. This pipeline will be removed and replace with a new pipeline in the same trench and servitude. The pump station will also be demolished and replaced with a new building and equipment (same size building and at the same position). Refer to attached background information document.

Namib Eden Trading CC indents to construct and commission an eco-friendly seawater desalination plant at Farm Hentiesbaai No. 133 at Henties Bay in Erongo Region. The proponent has been conditionally granted approval by the Henties Bay Council (Resolution No. CR/010/31/01/2018) to lease a portion in extend of approximatily 240 hectares of the Farm Hentiesbaai Town and Townlands No. 133 by private treaty to construct and commission an eco-friendly seawater desalination plant. The proponent needs an Environmental Clearance Certificate for them to commence with the proposed activity.

The Coptic Orthodox Church in Namibia intends to construct an outbuilding on Erf 740, Extension 2, Ondangwa to accommodate at least two flats. Although Erf 740 belongs to the church, the Erf is currently zoned as Public Open Space.
