TOSCO's transformation into an Association marks a pivotal step toward deeper collaboration across tourism and conservation sectors. On 22 November 2024, 38 founding members - including tourism businesses, conservation partners, and universities - signed our new Constitution, officially transitioning TOSCO from a Trust into an organisation that is driven by its members, and enabling the tourism industry to take a leadership role in turning tourism into a driving force for conservation. This shift enables more active participation, transparent decision-making, and co-creation of long-term solutions for sustainable tourism, that are more closely aligned with conservation goals. All members are now represented on TOSCO's Council - our highest decision-making body - ensuring diverse voices shape our direction. An Executive Committee (ExCo), elected by the members, oversees operations and will rotate regularly to ensure both continuity and fresh perspectives.
