An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has commenced to assist in determining the extent and significance of the environmental consequences associated with the proposed Subdivision of Erf 2555 (POS), Ondangwa Extension 8 into Erf A and Remainder, Permanent closure of the proposed Erf A of Erf 2555 (POS), Ondangwa Extension 8 as a "Public Open Space" and subsequent rezoning to "Institutional" and subsequent consolidation with Erf 2471, Ondangwa Extension 8. Notice of an Environmental Impact Assessment Process is given in terms of the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations, with an intent to carry out the proposed activity. Issues of concern and potential environmental and social impacts will be evaluated during the Environmental Impact Assessment process. (Not on MET EIA site for public comment).
