Abstract:

Humans and elephants are complete competitors. Biological theory maintains that such species cannot co‐exist on the same range and that increase in one will exclude the other. Measurements of human increase, elephant decline and ivory production are in keeping with this hypothesis. Keywords: Competition, conservation, economics, elephants humans, ivory.
