The EIA Process and the purpose of this EIA study is to identify the direct and indirect impacts that the development - Integration of crop, pasture, and livestock - , will have on the natural resources, eco-system, and the socio-economic dimensions of the neighbouring communities and populations. The integrated farming system is a commonly used term to explain a more integrated approach to farming compared to monoculture approaches.
Application for the proposed pilot sustainable water supply project by means of desalination, powered by solar to supplement water supply for Walvis Bay Erongo Region. Listed activities triggered by the project include: Energy generation, transmission and storage activities 1. Actizyme is an bacterial amalgam used in the treatment of unstable oxidation ponds in the waste water treatment plants.
The Environmental Clearance Certificate is for the construction and operation of the WT Fuel Center (Truck Port) in Katima Mulilo. The site area is located on the premises of Roads Contractor Company (RCC) in Katima Mulilo. The site has previously been used by RCC to fill up their construction machinery and as a result, there is already an underground diesel tank. The tank has a capacity of 82000 Litres and the current proponent will make use of the same tank.
The environmental clearance certificate is for: Activity 10.1 (b) Infrastructure The construction of Public roads Activity 10.2 (a) Infrastructure The route determination of roads and design of associated physical infrastructure where - it is a public road The proponent intends to subdivide the Remainder of Portion 49 of the Consolidated Farm Tsumore No. 761 into Portions A - E and Remainder. Currently portion D accommodates the existing rubbish dump of the Municipality while Portions A - C, E and the Remainder is currently vacant.

The 66kV Gerus - Platveld line was constructed prior to the commencement of the Environmental Management Act and its regulation, as a result there was no environmental impact assessment study conducted for the project prior to its development. It is therefore against this background that NamPower intends to apply for the operational Environmental Clearance Certificate in order to comply to the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
