Construction of a new main Sewerage Pump Station and Rising Main in Kuisebmond, Walvis Bay, Erongo Region, Namibia.
This application serves only for the renewal of the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the existing landfill site of Rosh Pinah that was initially issued to the client. The initial Environmental Clearance Certificate for the above mentioned project has expired and the proponent currently intends to continue with the operations of the landfill site. An updated and amended Operational Environmental Management Plan (OEMP) will be uploaded to the system.
The Proponent, PowerCom (Pty) Ltd proposes to erect and operate a 20 m tall, 3-legged free standing lattice telecommunication (network) tower in the area of Goreangab, Windhoek, Khomas Region and an area of 8m x 8m will be used for the tower and customer equipment. Under the Environmental Management Act (EMA) (No.7 of 2007) and its 2012 EIA Regulations, the proposed tower construction is a listed activity that require an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) from the Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) of the Ministry of Environmental, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT).
