The construction of three 10 MW PV facilities is proposed. Activity 1 (b) Energy Generation, Transmission and Storage The construction of facilities for the transmission and supply of electricity. The construction of PV facilities entails associated infrastructure, including transmission lines and a small onsite substation to connect to existing substations.

10.1 The construction of: (j) masts of any material or type and of any height, including those used for telecommunication broadcasting and radio transmission, but excluding - (i) flag poles, and (ii) lightening conductor poles. In November 2021, the Namibian government issued a notice of award stating its intention to appoint HYPHEN Hydrogen Energy (Hyphen) as the preferred bidder to develop the country’s first large-scale export green hydrogen (H2) project within in two concession areas (namely Springbok and Dolphin) in the Tsau//Khaeb National Park.
TotalEnergies EP Namibia B.V. ("TEEPNA") is applying to renew its ECC to continue with the previously assessed and approved activities, including appraisal well drilling in Block 2913B. TEEPNA and its partners hold an Exploration Right over Block 2913B.
Title of Activity: Linear infrastructure development to support the proposed Namibia Rare Earth’s mining activities on Mining License (ML) 200. Nature of Activity: Establishment of a pipeline and powerline to support the Mining and concentration of base and rare metals, in particular rare earth elements at Farm Lofdal.

Renewal of Environmental Clearance Certificate ML-200.
The construction of facilities for any process or activities which requires a licence, right or other form of authorisation, and the renewal of a licence, right or other form of authorisation, in terms of the Minerals (Prospecting and Mining Act), 1992. Other forms of mining or extraction of any natural resources whether regulated by law or not. Resource extraction, manipulation, conservation and related activities.
For the extraction of special additives to the manufacturing of cement namely, Special Silica Sand and Special Grade Limestone. Both from small areas within Ohorongo's EPL's which Ohorongo would like to merge under one mining licence from the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
The proposed amendments to the ECC (16 May 2018) and specifically to the Project Description in the EIA Report (SLR, 2017) covers the following items: Geographical Area; Number of Exploration Wells; Timing; and ECC Validity Period.

Swakop Uranium has contracted Manica Group Namibia (Pty) Ltd (Manica) to transport the reagents and chemicals from the port, where it will be off-loaded from the ships, to their existing Manica Logistics Centre (MLC) Warehouse and Rennies Container Terminal for temporary storage, before being transported to the Husab Mine Site. The MLC warehouse and Rennies Container Terminal are both located inside the industrial area in Walvis Bay. Please refer to Appendix A for the local setting of Manica’s storage facilities within Walvis Bay.
The renewal of the environmental clearance certificate for the second (60 m) telecommunication tower on the Husab Mine. The Husab Mine required a second radio and cell-phone tower in order to meet communication requirements for the mining department and therefore constructed a 60 m lattice tower near the mining activities. The second telecommunication tower was erected in June 2017, upon acquiring approval in February 2017. Swakop Uranium continues to use the tower for communication. No further activities associated with the tower are planned.
