The proposed exploration activities will include both intrusive and non-intrusive exploration techniques.

Laut MEFT wurden sie daraufhin in einer mobilen Straßenkontrolle auf der Straße von Tsumeb nach Otavi festgenommen. Zwei frische Nasenhörner wurde in ihrem Besitz gefunden und von den Behörden, geleitet vom "Blue Rhino Task Team", konfisziert.

All the necessary documents (including the revised and updated EMP reports, consent from the Competent Authority, proof of stakeholder consultations, etc.) previously requested by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism to support the ECC application for this project were already submitted to the DEAF on 3 March 2022. A hard copy resubmission at MEFT was done on 26 September 2022 to replace documents lost when the online EIA system crashed last year (2022). The proof of submission; including the BID are all attached herein for your perusal and consideration.

Renewal of Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC): continuation of small to medium-scale quarrying and ongoing prospecting for marble dimension stone on mining claims 68194, 68195, 68196 and 68203 in Karibib Constituency, Erongo Region, Namibia. The scope of the current operations also includes the construction, operation and maintenance of support infrastructure.
The Renewal and Transfer of the ECC for the resuming and continued mining operations on Mining Claim No. 68793 north of Omatjete. There has been mining activities on the MC after the ECC was issued in 2015, because they were paused for some years to move material at site. During the pausing/halting of mining on the site, the ECC has since expired in 2018 and Mining Claim in 2020. Therefore, there has not been any work undertaken at the site (MC).
An ECC renewal application is being launched to permit the continuation of operations of the existing and operational Dimension Stone Processing Facility in Karibib, as well as the associated reclamation/ rehabilitation of an existing abandoned borrow pit within the Karibib Townlands. The reclamation and rehabilitation of the abandoned borrow pit shall be implemented using a combination of marble and granite dust/ sludge and natural soils . The current ECC is due to expire on 26 April 2022. An ECC renewal is therefore being launched to enable the current operations to continue.

Undertaking of prospecting activities on Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) 6069 in the Daures and Karibib Constituency, Erongo Region, Namibia with primary interest in dimension stone quality dolerite, granite and possibly marble as well as industrial minerals (e.g. construction aggregates). Namfocus Investments cc (CC/2011/6408) intends to construct and operate a fuel service station at Ondalaye yaElim growth point in Ekanda Village, Omusati Region at the junction between the Oshakati-Okahao C41 Highway and the newly constructed D3615 road to Oshikuku. The proposed development will entail the establishment of a convenience store, a fuel canopy with four (4) dispersive pumps, a small carwash bay, and the installation of two (2) underground fuel storage tanks, one for diesel and another for petrol.
