Das namibische Umweltministerium (MEFT) hat öffentlich gemacht, dass am vergangenen Wochenende insgesamt acht Verdächtige wegen Nashornwilderei in zwei Fällen festgenommen wurden. Demnach sollen am 6. April zwei Verdächtige ungesetzlich den EtoschaNationalpark betreten und Nashörner gewildert haben. Laut MEFT wurden sie daraufhin in einer mobilen Straßenkontrolle auf der Straße von Tsumeb nach Otavi festgenommen. Zwei frische Nasenhörner wurde in ihrem Besitz gefunden und von den Behörden, geleitet vom "Blue Rhino Task Team", konfisziert.

Reason for Amendment(s): Upon submission of the application to NAMPAB, it was recommended that Narraville Extension 13 be split into two farms to be known as Narraville Extension 13 and Narraville Extension 16. Thus, we are seeking for an Environmental Clearance Certificate for Narraville Extension 16. Note the attached response from NAMPAB (Annexure A). 4. Describe the environmental changes arising from the proposed Amendment(s): The total area to be developed for the two extensions remains the same. New lay-outs for Extension16 are attached (Annexure B).
