Farm Uithou No. 366 is a commercial beef production farm that has its productivity compromised by infestation of invader bush. The veld in most areas of the farm is degraded and is overgrown with undesirable bush encroachment species. Along with various other factors, this poses a serious threat to livestock farming. The farm owner reckons the importance of veld improvement through the introduction of bush control activities on the farm. The overall objective is to implement bush control measures on Farm Uithou to be able to maintain a relatively open area for livestock grazing.

The environmental assessment is conducted to determine all environmental, safety, health and socioeconomic impacts associated with the operations of the facility. Relevant environmental data has been compiled by making use of secondary data and from a reconnaissance site visit. Potential environmental impacts and associated social impacts were identified and are addressed in this report.
