Moringa Enviro-Consultants (MEC) 2022. APP-002319: Bush control and veld managemetn on Farm Uithou 366, Gobabis District, Omaheke Region.

Farm Uithou No. 366 is a commercial beef production farm that has its productivity compromised by infestation of invader bush. The veld in most areas of the farm is degraded and is overgrown with undesirable bush encroachment species. Along with various other factors, this poses a serious threat to livestock farming. The farm owner reckons the importance of veld improvement through the introduction of bush control activities on the farm. The overall objective is to implement bush control measures on Farm Uithou to be able to maintain a relatively open area for livestock grazing.

This document constitutes the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for the proposed registration of Kaumbangere lodge plot with Lands Reform Division. The purpose of registration is to enable the Kaumbangere lodge to operate economically in an Environmental compliance manner while attracting clients & investors to the town. The EMP has been developed in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Management Act (Act No.7 of 2007), EIA Regulations of 2012 and any other relevant / applicable legislation (across all sectors).

Epangelo Mining Company (Pty) Ltd holds exclusive prospecting license (EPL) 4818 in the Erongo Region. EPL 4818 measures in at 62,781.90 ha in size and covers communal land only. Epangelo Mining therefore intends to apply for a renewal of the ECC.

Epangelo holds exclusive prospecting license EPL 4833 in the Erongo Region. EPL 4833 measures in at 99,934.40 ha in size and covers thirty six (36) commercial farms. Epangelo Mining therefore intends to apply for the renewal of the ECC.

Thus, it is imperative that developmental endeavours are conducted in the most sustainable manner. Environmental and development sectors should work together and identify synergies in order to ensure that natural resources are harvested sustainably.
