Namib Poultry Industries (Pty) Ltd is a proudly Namibian company, which started its operations in November 2011. The plant is situated on the Klein Okapuka Farm, about 30 kilometers outside of Windhoek proper. Operations consist of a breeding section made up of three rearing sites and six laying sites, a hatchery, seven broiler sites with five houses each and an abattoir, totaling more than 110 000m². They have six strategically placed depots across Namibia located in Windhoek, Katima Mulilo, Otavi, Ondangwa, Keetmanshoop and Walvis Bay, enabling them to meet customers' needs.

Ogongo Campus is one of UNAM's campuses run by the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Van Dyk Petroleum is an existing fuel wholesale facility on erf 242, Grootfontein, in the Otjozondjupa Region. It stores and distributes fuel to local business in Grootfontein and to farmers in the area. Furthermore, fuel is also collected, transported and delivered, on behalf of members of the petroleum industry, to various bulk storage facilities and retail outlets in northern Namibia. For this purposes, one aboveground23 m3 steel tank, with concrete bunding, is present on site. Two small tanker trucks of the Proponent collect diesel from the tank for transport to clients.

Okarundu is located approximately 30km south-east of Otjimbingwe and roughly 50 directly south of Karibib in the Erongo Region. The area is found in the Otjimbingwe communal area and is under the customary jurisdiction of the Tsoaxudaman Traditional Authority. Otjimbingwe has approximately 8,000 inhabitants, the area was already a temporary settlement of some Herero in the early 18th century. Chief Tjiponda coined the name Otjizingue (Otjiherero: refreshing place, referring to the natural spring) from which the settlement's name developed.

Walvis Bay Salt Holdings (Pty) Ltd, through its various subsidiaries, is the largest producer of solar sea salt in sub-Saharan Africa. The Company processes 90 million m3 (cubic meter) of seawater per annum to produce in excess of 900 000 tons of high-quality salt per annum. The total operation covers an area of 5000ha. Benguella Fishing (Pty) Ltd is a Walvis Bay based company that is involved in the fishing of deep-water fish off the coast of Namibia. The company operates 4 fishing vessels for the processing and deep-freezing of fish. Benguella Fishing has a staff complement of approximately 155 employees. Headspring Investments (Pty) Ltd (HSI), the proponent, is proposing to install and operate a mobile containerized laboratory on Farm Tripoli No. 546 in the Omaheke Region. The proponent has been conducting exploration activities which involve; exploration drilling, hydrogeological drilling, core sampling, geophysical well logging, testing of hydrogeological wells and core sample testing (geochemical sampling and analysis). During the exploration stage ore samples were send to Kazakhstan for physical and geo-chemical analysis.
Namibia is regarded as a net exporter of electricity, local electricity generation is derived from hydropower, coal and diesel burning power stations; however, this is not enough to meet local demand (INCUNFCC, 2002) necessitating the country to source the balance, amounting to more than 60%, from other countries within the Southern African region such as Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique; of which South Africa’s contribution is dominant at 53% (von Oertzen, 2012).
The Okanjande graphite deposit is situated approximately 20 km south of Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa region. The reserve has been determined as 34 million tons of graphite ore, contained mainly in flake form with an average carbon content of 5.14%, providing a consistent supply of high grade, large flake graphite. The mineral deposits were owned by Rössing Uranium Limited in the 1990’s, whereafter they were taken over by Gecko Graphite, who updated the previous studies done by Rössing Uranium Limited.

Clasox Petroleum (PTY) Ltd, hereinafter referred to as the proponent, intends to build a modern oil refinery in Walvis Bay, Namibia. The project will be carried out in two distinct stages, each of which will have a duration of approximately 12 months.
