The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region is investigating a case of rhino poaching after four rhinoceroses were found decomposed near the Osire resettlement in the Otjiwarongo area. This was confirmed by Otjozondjupa Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, stating that the incident occurred on Friday. According to Mbeha, it was reported that vultures were detected in a camp where rhinoceroses are kept, prompting the farm workers to investigate what the vultures were preying on. "The farm workers discovered four white rhinoceroses dead and in a decomposed state," she said.
