On 5 May 2023 Nambwa Camp opened its doors to self drive tourists. According to the EIA Act and Regulation 2007, Comply, African Monarch Lodges requires to apply for a new application to request for an ECC. NAMBWA CAMP at KWANDO CORE AREA within BWABWATA NATIONAL PARK Nambwa Camp is one of African Monarch Lodges (AML), which is situated east of Long lagoon within the Kwando Core Area of Bwabwata National Park (BNP). Furthermore, the Solid Waste Management protocols at this camp site, are recommendable and should be replicated at all lodges and camp sites throughout Namibia.
To request for the renewal of ECC for Kazile Island Lodge to ensure that the Lodge complies to the EIA Act and Regulation of 2007. Lilongeni Fish-Farming (Pty) Ltd., a Namibian registered company (Co. Reg. No. 2015/0190), intends to farm with finfish in the Atlantic Ocean of Namibia. The Proponent identified four alternative sites where it intends to farm with finfish in cages at the isobar ranging between 65m to 75m sea depth. The site north-west Lüderitz was chosen as the most appropriate to farm with all three (3) species. Lilongeni Fish-Farming (Pty) Ltd. intends to spearhead and make finfish farming in the marine environment a first in Namibia off the coast of Lüderitz.
