Caprivi Houseboat Safaris t/a Camp Turaco : Renew of Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) Offers: Chalets, Camping and Camper-boats on the Zambezi River Caprivi Houseboat Safaris t/a Camp Turaco, on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River is located 6km east of Katima Mulilo. Location: GPS 17.49487 Latitude and 24.32391 Longitude Dominant trees which include Water-berry, Marula, Jackal-berry, Terminalia, Mahogany and Raintrees, provide shade for on this "island paradise" for guests and birds alike. A lush green garden welcomes the guests to this unique Safari Camp.
Previous ECC expired in November 2023, while Stone Quarrying operations are expected to continue into the future.
To do quarrying activities at Dorob National Park as per Authorization and Lease Agreement entered into between the Government of the Republic of Namibia, represented by the Ministry of Works and Transport and the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism and Waken Contractors Close Corporation, represented by Mrs. Freddie Hambeleleni Elifas.
Lilongeni Fish-Farming (Pty) Ltd., a Namibian registered company (Co. Reg. No. 2015/0190), intends to farm with finfish in the Atlantic Ocean of Namibia. The Proponent identified four alternative sites where it intends to farm with finfish in cages at the isobar ranging between 65m to 75m sea depth. The site north-west Lüderitz was chosen as the most appropriate to farm with all three (3) species. Lilongeni Fish-Farming (Pty) Ltd. intends to spearhead and make finfish farming in the marine environment a first in Namibia off the coast of Lüderitz.

The Renewal of the Environmental Clearance Certificate is for: Continuation of the Solar Power Plant operation project on ML 142, for which an Environmental Clearance was obtained during September 2017 (see attached Appendix B to the cover letter), which requires authorisation in terms of the Environmental Management Act, 2007 (Act 7 of 2007) i.e. Energy Generation, Transmission and Storage activities. Title of Activity: Continuation of the Solar Power Plant operation project on ML 142.
