Amushila JK 2021. APP-002347: Environmental Impact Assessment for the Tubussis small-scale mining hotspot, Erongo region.

The Tubussis mining hotspots consists of mining claims which are owned and operated by different individuals and/or as groups. Mining activities mainly include artisanal and semi-mechanized methods which are used in extracting a wide range of gemstones. Although mining activities have been taking place for many years at this area, there has not been any Environmental Impact Assessment study done. Thus, ECCs for SSMs have in the past been issued upon completion of Environmental questionnaire and signing a pro-forma Environmental Contract.

Environmental Health and Safety Consultant 2020. APP-001060: The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the construction and operations of AK Plaza service station service station on Erf 3289, Mondesa, Swakopmund in Erongo Region.

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study is for the construction of a service station on Erf 3289, Mondesa, Swakopmund by Namaza Investments cc. AK Plaza service station is envisaged to be a standard service station, with three islands, three dispensing fuel pumps (petrol and diesel) from a storage of 2 double wall underground storage tanks of 45000 litres. The service station will be part of a larger development, the AK Plaza which is an average sized shopping complex with various service offerings including: a supermarket, doctor’s practice, a pharmacy, toilets and shops.
