The African Polyctesini and Acherusini are re-descriptionbed and illustrated, completing the recent revision of the Polycestinae of the region (Holm 1982). Several hundred new distribution records and a number of biological notes are recorded for the African Acmaeoderinae, Julodinae and Polycestinae.
