GIZ has been working in Namibia since Namibian independence in 1990 and has an office in Windhoek since 1994. The German Development Cooperation in Namibia concentrates on three focal areas: Management of Natural Resources, Sustainable Economic Development, Street Transport as well as the cross cutting project HIV/Aids Control in Namibia and the project outside the focal areas: Archives of Anti-Colonial Resistance and Liberation Struggle.
