Abstract:

Sustainable management of natural resources is a precondition for their continuous utilization. One of the most important natural resources for crop farmers in Northern Namibia is the soil of the field where crops are being cultivated. The suitability and the potential of soils for crop production can be described with the term soil fertility. However, this natural resource has recently come under mounting pressure through an increasing demand for more food and more income generated from agricultural activities.
