The Government of Namibia has developed a minerals policy to ensure the continued development of the mining industry. The formulation of such a policy will contribute to the creation of an environment that attracts both foreign and local investment in mining. It will also contribute to the development of opportunities for the Namibian people to benefit from their country's mineral resources in line with the Government policy on socio-economic upliftment.
