Abstract:

The promoter, who is a small scale miner with a long history of mining semi-precious stones (tourmaline) in the Karibib Districts had pegged and registered three mining claims with MME. The Mining Claims were registered for semi-precious stones and an ECC has been granted (attached to the bid for easy reference). Given high demand for industrial minerals (lithium, tin and tantalite) and a toll-free processing plant planned to be constructed in the Karibib District, the promoter would like the Mining Commissioner to include industrial minerals included on the mining claim certificate. since tourmaline mining is different from mining industrial minerals, the amendment to the Mining Claim certificate to include exploration and mining of industrial minerals (tin, tantalie, lithium, etc) will require a full eia.
