Abstract:

Namibia cinerea is assessed as Near Threatened. The RAMAS Red List version 2.0 software package was used to make this assessment. This species is known from less than 10 subpopulations with extent of occurrence estimated at < 3,125 km² and area of occupancy < 5 km². It is estimated that here are fewer than 6,000 mature plants left and the population is believed to currently be declining as a result of collecting. Mining activities at Pomona may have caused declines in the past but there are no mining activities going on there now.
