Abstract:

Mr. Nico Kaoti (the Proponent and owner of Ongeama Tjovike Lodge & Tourism cc) proposes to construct a lodge and associated tourism facility in Daures Constituency, Erongo Region. As part of the authorization process, the proponent is simultaneously applying for a leasehold from the Ministry of Land Reform to enable the provision of the lode facility (i.e. accommodation and hospitality services). The proponent obtained consent from the Zeraua Traditional Authority with no objection to the construction and operation of the proposed lodge. The lodge will consist of a reception, restaurant and dining hall, sleeping chalets, a swimming pool and staff houses. Scenic and game drives will also be offered to the tourists as the surrounding area is known to be frequented by elephants.
