Title:

Sustainable natural resource use on the coast of Namibia

Author(s):
Publication Year:

Abstract:

Most natural resource use in the coastal zone is associated with fisheries, including recreation angling, inshore commercial line fishing, crayfish fishing, on-shore fish processing (based on the very large offshore commercial fisheries), and artisanal fishing. The depletion of these fish resources has affected other natural resource uses in the coastal zone. The study lists some 30 recommendations for ensuring sustainable coastal natural resource use.
