Since 1968, the Government in association with various other instances, has conducted detailed scientific studies of the ecology, hydrology, topography and human resources of the delta. This knowledge, however, has so far not been readily available to the ordinary person. The purpose of this symposium is to disseminate the knowledge of the scientists before they leave the country.
