Restoration of the flow in the Thaoge River
The Thaoge system has been amply recognised for its value in agricultural development (livestock and crop production). Successful Rural development here may help to reduce the pressure on wildlife areas to the east which might otherwise be exploited by livestock rearing and human settlement. The main physical factor limiting development is the shortage of water along major reaches of the middle and lower Thaoge. Efforts have been made to re-establish the flow in the blockage-stricken river.
